A NEW HOME
I am definitely going to get a new website. Leeching from WordPress is never gonna be enough. I realized that I will not be able to milk this blog like really milk it lol if I don’t have my own space. It’s not that suddenly I am having this grandiose vision of taking over the web or that I have this moment when the airconditioner suddenly blasted the coldest draft and there’s this bright light commanding me to er, buy a web domain. *wink
See, there are tons of web outfits out there who will pay when you let them piggyback on your “web presence” (diumano) so I’m finally gonna do it. I have been postponing this thing for like ages already but yesterday a friend told me he got richer by 500 dollars because of CPMs and all that sort. Sonofagun.
The way things are, I couldn’t for the life of me set up Google Adsense here in the gratis version of WordPress. If I have the whole package in my own server, then I could finally control the WordPress module and ram adsense down its bellies so to speak. So there.
And then, I need a new camera. Wtf >> Talking about the pains of investing.

THANK YOU
In an effort to boost its sales Toblerone is launching the national thank you day, daw.
Woot! Very funny. Anyway, it’s the thought that counts and you really don’t have to buy this uber delicious treat to say gracias to those who have pleased you one way or another. Let’s see. I do have people that I want to say thank you to.
First goes to my mum ‘n da for producing a dude such as I. Even though I am what I am, I do have my redeeming qualities. Bwahaha.
A bunch goes to my friends for making me look young. All of these characters are older than me. *wink (Peace pals.) Seriously, these are the peeps who loosen me up and make life more interesting.
Then I got some thank yous for those who make me feel desired. Lol.
Then to this one, for making my heart flutter.
Cheers.
By the way, according to the chocolate this “national day of gratitude” is gonna be tomorrow, the 20th. I really don’t care. Say, TY is gratis so give it abundantly.

RAMYEON KING
I have not tasted Korean food yet except those passable bit of kimchi and seaweed roll in my cousin’s party. Yesterday, a box of ramyeon was shipped to my doorstep by a Korean friend. I was delighted because this noodle is popular in Korea. They came in different colors and flavors but since I could not read Hangul, I was forced to try each by the appearance of their packages. There was a kind letter detailing how to cook the noodles. And the gist of which was that I am supposed to cook it for five minutes.
Anyway, I followed his instruction to the letter lest I do something wrong and end up disappointed. Well, what can I say? Ramyeon, as with other food in the Korean cuisine I suppose, is a little less salty than Pinoy food. I have to add a dash of salt so it would appeal to my palate. I devoured the ramyeon in beef and kimchi but it was sooo friggin spicy. One thing I could say though is that the noodle, which is considerably thicker than our own or the Japanese ramen, is very delicious and surprisingly fresh. I felt lightheaded after and, of course, my nose was runny.
All in all, ramyeon is a hearty meal with subtle flavor. It’s not something for people who prefer their mouth to be assaulted with flavors from the outset. The taste is not strong and there are certainly no fireworks there. But it is a meal that you can eat for a time and not feel nauseous unlike our noodles here which after eating a fair share, you’ll temporarily abhor the taste. I came to like to eat ramyeon especially in this weather.

MONDAY’S BLOG
I am still mooning over what happened last weekend. So even though the air today is humid it didn’t dampen my spirit. I am supposed to blog about how to seduce someone, but wtf, I ain’t gonna kiss and tell. Tsk. I think I’m in love. Lol.

FINALLY…
The Pinoy blogosphere is abuzz these days because finally, Paypal allowed the Receive money feature to its Filipino account holders. For those not in the loop, Paypal is a cheap no-fuss, and almost universal way to send-receive money online. Previously, Paypal Philippines was limited to Sending money only. Now, we have both worlds.
So if you are a freelancer or your work is connected with BPO, you’ll do away with the seemingly bureaucratic red tape of bank remittances and their ridiculously expensive charges and low conversion rates. See, some clients are even turned off when you start raving about bank details, swift codes, addresses and all those whatnots of the stone age methodologies of remittance services. I think the offshot of this is a more lively e-commerce in the PI. The SMEs will be happy. And, of course, I, too. It’s uber nice. Anyway, I’ll still have to get acquainted with it. Aack, I need a credit card!!

OT: I am still grumbling about my gym session today. I was handed a new program and I had this suspicon that the gym instructor wants to kill me. I used to do 8-10 routines but now, I got 15! Futek, I could barely raise my fingers because I feel like I have walked and crawled from here to the moon and back.

OT v. 2.0: I have a plan. So, let’s see by the weekend. *evil laugh.

ABOUT MARCO
I forgot where I found this dude called Marco Torres. But you have to vote or him here. He wrote a mediocre essay in order to be one of the torchbearers in the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics (Forgive me dude, but it’s the truth lol). Incidentally, there’s this contest wherein people would vote for the Olympic torchbearer based on
their pieces.
Anyway, I am rooting for him, Marco, if just for the sheer audacity of his feat. It touches me a lot that he had the heart for such a great thing. Also, he reminded me a bit of the dude who torched one of the seven wonders of the ancient world so that people will remember his name for generations to come. So there.
Secondly, well, he is a decent representative of the Filipino people. For instance, look at the fella’s teeth, it ain’t bad, eh? Just a welcome respite since the pictures of Erap die-hards hogging the international headlines just recently.
