THE TSAO INCIDENT
I have often maintained, as in the case of this space, that I would not waste time, effort, energy, much less a thought, on people and things and situations that do not interest me at all or those I don’t like or I am annoyed with. The rationale behind this perspective is simple: dwelling in negativity will just give me undue stress and, worse, shorten my life span. The truth is, there will always be people who have the knack to make you feel bad. There will always be those who have mean bones in their system. So I avoid them like a plague and this serves me well.
But with all the uproar about this Chip Tsao incident recently I couldn’t help but speak as well. I may have my little rule about ignoring bad vibes etc. etc. but I do have my pride as well.
As you well know, this guy has been frothing in the mouth about the Philippines claiming Spratlys and all that BS because in his opinion, a nation of servants just doesn’t have the right. His analogy was that the Russians could ram their subs up his pompous ass and its okay because the Chinamen was taught Communism by the likes of Lenin (as if it’s something to be thankful for). Or that it’s okay to grovel to the Japanese because they make such lovely Hello Kitty dolls. His logic is comparable to a 10 year old no?
I could just imagine him posturing in front of his Filipina maid who was supposedly educated in International Politics or something to that effect. “See, you are a dog and you’re not supposed to bite the hands that feed you.” I mean come on, as if his helper is freeloading in his house and her salary is a donation, and not a byproduct of some services rendered.
Now his piece is supposedly a satire. I say, wtf. Satire my foot. It’s so phenomenally shallow, there’s nothing to read behind the lines. It’s poking fun at a nation and there’s nothing more to it – not even an iota of substance. nada, zilch, zero.
Take a look at this Tsao character’s face. It has bigotry written all over it. And please remember him, because given a chance, he’d have no qualms sending lesser mortals to the gas chambers like what the Nazis did to the Jews.

Like, where were they when the Brits found them? If I remember it well, his mother country is recently still a Third World, only raking money from mass producing fake ipods, pirated movies, subpar products who have killed and maimed people because they proved hazardous. And to think the country that they have ever subjugated in recent history is Tibet, a nation of peaceful souls. They couldn’t even tame Taiwan.
Eh?
I am having second thoughts posting this piece. I feel it’s contaminating my blog. In our kitchen we are trained with the HACCP system in mind, e mukhang ipis tong mamang ito. Pag me chef na makakita, bagsak ako sa sanitation. Bwahaha.

obviously we have different perspectives dude. And I’d rather not engage in an online debate lol. I respect his point of view, though.
